Hello my name is Gemma , I live in Caister  On - Sea  in  Norfolk  .
I am fortunate enough to live  between the sea side and country side , 
With lovely country side and beach walks near by .

I share  my home with my lovely Ragdoll  , Selkirk Rex cats  and various  other pet's , that i will introduce you to on the pages of my website .
I went to choose my first breeding queen when i was just 13 years old 
and from that moment i was totally hooked on the Ragdoll breed  .
Saskia or Sassy as she is know at home was my first girl  .
Sassy is a seal colour point and the whole reason that i became addicted to the Ragdoll  breed.
A good few years later and after i kept seeing a stunning Selkirk Rex boy i finally joined  the Selkirk Rex Cat Club who put me in touch with the two breeders of my first selkirk Rex Girls Blossom & Opal since that moment i have never looked back & just love the breed so much .

Because Sassy was my first breeding girl  i decided to collaborate our names in to my prefix  (Sassy and Gemma ) hence the name Sassygems as we have been together from the very start .

All my cats are first and for-most my pets .
I enjoy showing my cats and also breed from my cat's but will only do so in order to breed something for my self  to show & am constantly aiming to improve the breeds i have chosen to work with .
I really enjoy showing at this is a great passion of mine ,
I can be found  showing my cats at show's up and down the country  most weekends and just love it .

I breed Ragdolls in all colours and coat patterns  including red's and tabby's & Selkirk rex in Colour point , Colour  points & white , Silver colour points & Whites .
I have chosen to work with the more dilute colours of chocolate , Lilac & cream  in my selkirks .
Most my Selkirks are either visually these colours or carry them .
As stated before i only breed from my cats when i am looking to keep something for myself as such i do not have many kittens though out the year and most of my girls will only have one ore two litters in their life time .
I also choose to early spay and neuter all my kittens as well as id chipping them as i feel it stops some small mined people who think they can use cats to make money and see them as a walking womb rather than a living loving pet who should be treated with respect .
